NATIONAL SECURITY

We live in a dangerous world.  The United States and our allies are engaged in a long and demanding struggle against terrorists who are driven by a hatred of American values. 

We’ve got to continue our efforts to disrupt these terrorist networks and to keep nuclear and biological weapons out of the hands of those committed to our destruction. 

Our armed forces are doing an extraordinary job of protecting our freedoms at home and promoting democracy abroad.

They deserve our prayer and every ounce of our support.

IMMIGRATION

I’ve toured our border with Mexico and inspected security there . . . what little there is of it.

Border security is national security.

Before we do another thing, we must enforce and strengthen our immigration
laws. America is a country of laws.

I do not support granting amnesty, because that would simply reward those who entered our country illegally.

Paying fines or back taxes is not enough.

We must create and implement a tamperproof and secure ID card for foreign workers. Employers must be sure that the people theyhire are here legally and registered to work.

Our way of life in America is precious and must always be protected.
